What Model & Entrepreneur Millana Snow Has To Say About Gratitude (a personal interview)
/One of the quotes I have up on my wall behind my desk is by Melody Beattie. She says:
"Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend."
The reason I love this quote so much is because, in essence, it says this: If you can shift your perspective to one where you are thankful, where your focus is on your riches not your lacks, life opens up in ways you never expected.
Gratitude has affected the way I treat myself, the way my relationship unfolds on a daily basis, the way I work, the way I coach my clients... there is no real aspect of my life where I am not making a conscious effort to see the beauty and the positive... and it is a conscious effort and yes, sometimes, it takes diligence and work.
But you know what the most amazing thing about gratitude is: it's truly available to everyone. It is not expensive or intensely time consuming. It is a daily choice to make a conscious shift in perspective that everyone can choose and practice -anywhere, anytime.
So, in celebration of August -my wedding month;)- I wanted to give you something special to help you get a better understanding for gratitude, how it can help you change you life, and how you can start practicing it.
Below I interview model and entrepreneur Millana Snow (you might recognize her from Project Runway Season 8).
Millana does about a bazillion amazing things, which I will get to in the video, but one of her key focuses right now is teaching women the power of gratitude through her 26-day #GetThankful Challenge. In the interview she will give you a little taste on:
- her definition of gratitude
- how having a daily gratitude practice has changed her life
- why and how she teaches other women to do the same
- how you can get started yourself
Find out more about Millana and how you can join her 26-day #GetThankful Challenge. It starts August 31st.
In the comments below I'd love to hear from you: Do you practice gratitude? Has it impacted your life? What is one thing you are grateful for today?
Love.
